Educational events

1825’s educational events are designed to uncover the options available to you when dealing with specific financial concerns. The events cover a wide-range of topics across the UK; including retirement, estate planning and tax efficiency.

The value of your investments can go down as well as up and you may get back less than you paid in. Laws and tax rules may change in the future. Your own circumstances also have an impact on tax treatment.

As a result of COVID-19, face to face sessions have been put on hold.

However, we’re replacing them with webinars starting in June with a combined session on mortgages, wills and powers of attorney on 16th June at 14:00 and 17th June at 11:00.

Please email if you would like to attend either of these webinars.

We'll add new event details to this page once they are confirmed.

Here are the range of topics that our events will usually cover.

Approaching retirement

There is more flexibility than ever around how pensions can be used. This session will help people who are approaching their retirement date to understand the key things to think about and the options available in order to take their retirement income tax-efficiently.

Estate planning and wills

Helping you understand how you can protect those you care about and pass on as much as possible. This session will cover wills, powers of attorney, trusts, tax compliance and tax efficiency to help minimise the impact of income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax.

Pension planning and tax efficient investing

Sharing what the Annual and Lifetime Allowance could mean for you and the options available if you are affected.
This session will also cover the importance of a multi-product investment strategy and the benefits of taking a holistic approach to planning your financial future particularly if you are affected by either Allowance.

Mortgages and protection

Aimed at existing homeowners who in the next 6 months are considering a move or considering purchasing an additional property (residential or to let out) in the coming six months or whose existing mortgage rate is coming to an end or whose existing mortgage would benefit from a review, this session will cover the options available for both mortgages and the protection products that sit alongside them.

Please note, if the repayments are not kept up on your mortgage your home may be repossessed.

Savings for your future (Pensions and ISAs)

This session will cover the benefits of using an Individual Savings account (ISA) alongside your pensions to help you live the life you want in retirement; including understanding pension and ISA limits, an introduction to a multi-product investment strategy and considerations when investing for the short and long term.
